The Centre
A purpose-built 75-place service located in Forbes, roughly 3-hour drive from Sydney or Canberra is seeking an experienced leader to step into a Centre Director role on a full-time basis. The service is non-profit and offers more than just a place for children to play, but a collaborative, supportive community built on the philosophy that every child deserves the best start in life. It has spacious natural outdoor area and specialised preschool programs.
This is a great opportunity for a 2IC who wants to step up in their career, or for an experienced Centre Director who wants to have a fresh start in the industry.

The Role
As a Centre Director, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Manage daily centre operations, including enrolments, staffing, budgets, and parent communication.
  • Lead, coach, and empower team of educators and teachers, fostering a culture of continuous professional development and excellence.
  • Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities for children’s holistic development.
  • Prioritise children’s safety and well-being, adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and standards.
  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative workplace culture built on respect, teamwork, and celebrated diversity.

About You
To be successful in this position, you must have:

  • A Diploma or Bachelors of Early Childhood Education or Graduate Diploma with previous experience as Cert III/Diploma leader or ACECQA-approved qualification
  • Minimum 2 years of Centre Director experience or 2+ years as 2IC
  • Current Working with Children’s Check
  • Recent Child Protection Training/Safeguarding
  • Current First-Aid Certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training)
  • Passionate belief in the early years care, development and education of children
  • Strong ethics and genuine approach towards child safety and WHS
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Adaptability, flexibility and resilience and is able to respond positively to change
  • Australian unrestricted working rights
